Ways to Care for Your Hair

 

Who doesn’t want gorgeous, shiny, healthy, and long hair? When our hair looks great we ultimately feel better about ourselves and we generally have a better day.

Health, strength and beauty of hair depends primarily on its nerve vigor and the good circulation of the oily scalp secretion which gives it gloss and luster. Hair that is dull, dry, brittle or frizzy is unhealthy and unattractive. Shiny hair is a sign of health because the layers of the cuticle lie flat and reflect light.

Hair shiny and long is not a mystery anymore. If you want to keep your hair silky and beautiful, here are some tips to follow:

  • Regular haircuts are one of the best ways to help keep hair healthy.
  • Avoid electric rollers, hot combs, and curling irons, or use these on a cool setting.
  • A tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice in the last hair rinse works wonders for greasy hair.
  • A tea tree oil shampoo, or any natural shampoo with 2% tea tree oil (10 drops to an eight- ounce bottle), will help to unblock clogged hair follicles, moisturize the hair and keep the scalp free of bacteria and fungal problems.
  • Egg white and curd is a good conditioner for hair.
  • Rinse out hair conditioner with cold water. It is refreshing and adds that extra shine to your hair.
  • If you cannot shampoo your hair even when it is dirty, put a cold clean stocking over your brush and run it through your hair to remove surface dust.

Always remember healthy, attractive hair should shine. Whether your hair is long or short, light or dark, it should look smooth, silky and shiny. Hair that is dull, dry, brittle or frizzy is unhealthy and unattractive.
