Cyber Relationship….
If they make you happy without transgressing on other people?s feelings, then they should be good, right?
The recent Supreme Court decision that the Second Amendment grants a personal right to own a firearm contains some reasoning that I regard as specious. Justice Antonin Scalia, who wrote the majority opinion, repeated the plaintiff’s argument who asserted that he needed a hand gun for protection against the criminals and murderers who infest Washington, DC. Justice Scalia, who does not find a “right of privacy” in the constitution, does find a “right of self-defense” there. Further, ownership of firearms provides individuals with this right of defending themselves.
Funny, when I answered the conversation in Dneero, I agreed that we should have a right to own a handgun. But I realized, the ownership of a hand gun does not provide a sure defense against a thief, mugger, or murderer. The only rational reason for owning a gun is personal protection, protection from others that have guns. If there were no guns then the reason for having one would would not exist. Remember, guns are tools. They are tools made for a specific purpose, and that purpose is to kill. It may increase the violence rate…
When I started answering this conversation, it made me reminisce the past…It’s all coming back to me now… hahaha… There were happy moments but there were not-so-happy moment too. I was a naughty child. I had my first boyfriend when I was in the sixth grade. My mom said, “you are not allowed to have a relationship until you’re 18 yrs old.” But at 12, I already had one and she did not know it.. I started drinking (occasionally) when I was 13 years old. My first night out with my friends was 10 years ago (I was 16 only), of course my mom did not know it too… The list will go on and on…. I’m not saying I’m not a good daughter/child, I just learned to live my life to the fullest. That is my motto: Live your life to the fullest… and don’t regret about the past
