Former President Corazon Cory Aquino was laid to rest beside her husband Ninoy Aquino earlier, August 5, 2009.

Cory’s cortege from Manila Cathedral to Manila Memorial Park took roughly eight hours. The funeral procession slowed down by tens of thousands who lined up on the streets and braved occasional heavy rains to bid her farewell.
